Motiva Hybrid Breast Augmentation in Malaysia

MotivaHybrid® is an ingenious procedure that involves utilizing smaller Motiva Implants® with your own purified fat that is harvested from areas that you wish to reduce, such as the abdomen or thighs.

What is Hybrid Breast Augmentation?

As the name suggests, the hybrid surgery is a two-part process that has a longer down time (by 2 weeks on average) and relatively higher cost than a normal breast augmentation procedure because both an autologous fat transfer and implants are involved in one surgery. It should also be noted that anyone considering a hybrid breast augmentation must have enough excess body fat to graft.

The addition of fat grafts allows for more customization or precise corrections, such as boosting and altering cleavage appearance, balancing asymmetrical breasts, rounding out the sides of your breasts, or providing more coverage over an implant in certain areas that may lack quality tissue.

By increasing the breast volume with both an ideal implant and autologous fat (I personally add nano-fat and Platelet Rich Plasma in my fat grafting), the hybrid breast surgery is feted for its personalized, natural results.

Breast Cleavage and Chest Wall (Thorax) Relationship

Narrowing the cleavage in patients with widely separated breasts that cannot be effectively approximated with implant augmentation alone will require fat grafting can effectively provide better cleavage for women with certain chest wall (flaring thorax).

Improving Cleavage With Fat Grafting

It is possible to improve cleavage with fat grafting. Hybrid breast augmentation will result in even more natural appearance than standard stand-alone Motiva Implant Breast Augmentation. The aim is to contour the breast to make it almost impossible to tell by look and feel that there is an implant inside. A Motiva Hybrid Breast Augmentation is hence considered the epitome and best of breast augmentation procedures.

 

The actual operation includes the additional steps of fat harvesting, fat processing and fat injection. The donor fat is harvested using special instruments that provide for efficient harvesting with as little trauma as possible so as to preserve the viability of the fat cells as much as possible.

The Breast Augmentation with Motiva Implants is then carried out in the standard manner. Meanwhile, the harvested fat is processed using the Pure Graft system which removes all the unwanted fluids from the harvested fat, such as blood, serum, oil, and the saline solution that was injected into the fat prior to harvesting. What is left is pure, viable, high quality condensed fat ready to be injected (with addition of PRP or tissue SVF)

After the Breast Augmentation with implants  is completed and the surgical wounds have been closed, the prepared purified fat is systematically injected using a fine cannula ( I use a Motiva Bulb lipografting cannula designed by Pitanguy trained plastic surgeon Dr Marcos Sforza) into the breast tissue on top of and around the implant. The fat therefore effectively provides an additional envelope of soft tissue padding over and around the implant giving a natural soft finish to the breasts.
